At the Table

Tables hold a sort of symbolic value in our culture. Think about how many relationships are formed over them. We cry, laugh, eat and drink over them! Tables are invitations —someone basically saying, “I desire a closer connection to you, come sit with me. Let’s talk.” What if we were to tell you you have a seat at the most important table in the world? God himself, Creator and King of the universe is not inaccessible. The King has invited you to dine with Him at His table. It is not too late to accept His personal and communal invitation sent to you. The table is already prepared for you, will you have a seat?

Hey Everyone! I'm Demi, the other Co-Host of At the Table. I'm so excited to build this community with you, but first, let's break the ice!

Three Fun Facts about me are:

1. I am a natural hair and fashion enthusiast.

2. I love basketball...Go Hawks!

3. I absolutely despise Twizzlers but never pass on a bag of gummy bears.

The scripture I love to take with me daily is...actually the entirety of Psalms 23, but I'll leave you with my highlights in verses 1, 2, and 6.

"The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams...Surely [His] goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever."
